descriptionI had taken my eyes off the prize for a girl who likely wasn't looking for anything more than a rebound fling. Leaving was going to be an absolute bitch.

How to Catch an Heiress is Natalie Rios's debut novel and one that I definitely enjoyed. The plot is something that we have read a few times but this time the tables have turned. Anthony and Liz have gone to Vegas for a weekend escape. Anthony, to escape the grief he still feels after losing his mother to cancer and losing his spot at a prestigious doctoral program. And Liz, she is running to escape the fact that her boyfriend of 10 years dumped her and married someone else.

A chance meeting at a bar in Vegas, lead to a night of filled with alcohol, drunk confessions and a wedding that neither of them remember.

Liz is desperate to forget meeting Anthony and their "mistake" but Anthony is not ready to leave Liz and forget anything from last night, even their marriage.

descriptionI didn't lose my virginity until I was twenty-one. By then, I was so worked up from waiting so long, I practically shot off like a rocket the second I got it in. My nickname was Two Pump Tony until I got to grad school.

For a debut author, Natalie has done a really good job. The book is fun, entertaining, enjoyable and an easy read. Anthony and Liz are likeable characters and you understand the situation they are in and get where both of them are coming from, even when you might not agree with their decisions.

descriptionDuring my darkest times, you served as my guide, giving me the perspective and support I needed to find my way again.

In some ways you do feel bad for Anthony and the problems that he is going through. But what I found commendable in his character was his ability to make people laugh and smile and put Liz and her needs before his.

They started out as strangers at a bar in Vegas who were immediately thrown into being newly weds. As they tread their way through their married life, they form an unusual alliance. Within a matter of few days they go through multiple stages in their relationship that a couple go through.

It takes some time for them to face the multiple ups and downs that comes in a relationship and come together, but when they do, they were really meant for each other. They just fit in each others life perfectly.
