Rating & Review

"This book...yeah, totally recommend it.. Oh you want to know how many stars...more than the two Suns on Harden. Or as Amazon says 5 stars."

Wow!

Oh, you want more than Wow. Well, how about huh! Still more...

How about the newest book (hopefully series)  by J.R. Gray has me wishing on a star for my own Madden and a comm. The Madden is self explanatory- really...Ok, I'll spell it out. H-O-T guy, little edgy, very smart, and has the bad boy vibe... The comm would be for lengthy discussions about the sequel I want to force J.R. to write.

It is a love story. Star crossed lovers at that. It's a story of people demanding change wanting an end to the tyranny. It's trouble. Secret meetings, questionable acquaintances, and  acting the part of a mistress all add a little spice to Jocelynn's life. But her frivolity is coming to an end as responsibility looms, where does that leave her?

I had a lot of fun reading this book. I love the banter, the attitude, but most of all I love how consistently badass Jocelynn is. I love strong females. I like being able to respect the heroine. Jocelynn does not disappoint. She is tough, smart, and trying to deal with significant changes. The addition of the distracting Mad is something she never bargained for. If she values their relationship, she's going to need to be more...

I laughed. I smirked. I fell for Madden. My heart broke. My tears fell freely. I lost hope while clinging to wishes. But worst of all, I want more!!!!!!!

BOOK REVIEW ― Bad Judgment BY Meghan March

"He’s arrogant.

She’s self-righteous.

I hate him.

I want her.

I’ve been turning him down for two years straight.
Every shut-down makes me work harder.

I’m not a one-night stand kind of girl.
She doesn’t realize I won’t settle for only one night.

He’s a distraction I don’t need.
She’ll say yes eventually because I’m not giving up."

description Bad Judgment. That's all it was. I'm never drinking again - or kissing Ryker Grant.

Before jumping into the review, I would like to confess that i was quite daunted by the Content Page that listed SEVENTY TWO chapters plus an Epilogue, but once I started I just didn't want to put the book down. At one point I generally just checked how much of the book I had covered and you would not believe my surprise when I saw I had completed 82% in just a few short hours. I had noooooo idea but when I reached that mark, I wished I could have s tarted all over.

Phew! Okay, that's out of the way

Was it a bad judgemnt on my part to pick this book? HELL YES!!!
Two words. RYKER. GRANT.
I literally just can't get over Ryker and I have this stupid urge to just go back and re-read.

Ryker was exactly how I expected Meghan March to portray him. Dirty talking, possessive and a complete alpha who would do anything to get the girl he wants.

descriptionI want it all Justine. Including the chance to show you how fucking amazing life can be when you let a few distractions in.

Justine was how exactly Meghan has portrayed her leads throughout. Justine is strong and challenging and can and does stand on her own. She is ballsy and is not afraid to go toe-to-toe with Ryker and any situation that comes her way. And this is one major plus for me, for when it comes to picking up a Meghan March book. If the male lead is an alpha then the female lead is not to far behind, and is an alpha too. Equals, that's what they are.

descriptionDon't make me beg.
A darkly satisfied smile tugs at his lips. "Oh you are going to beg."

Bad Judgment is a slow burn. It sizzles with tension as Justine keeps resisting Ryker and his advances. The tension between the two is like lighting a firecracker. When you light it up it goes slowly until BOOM! it explodes.

Ahhhh! Their first kiss and their first sexy sexy scene... *fans myself*

Both Ryker and Justine's portrayal is such you can't help but make goo-goo eyes when they come together...

Oh Ryker!

Ryker and Justine's chemistry is explosive and they just gel into each other so amazingly. These two are FANTASTIC together.

As much as I loved this book and was most definite 5 Star read, sadly the last 10% was what knocked down that one star. There was a lot of stuff going on all at once that I felt was a tad bit unnecessary.

But keeping that small bit aside, Meghan March is quickly becoming by go-to author. I have loved her alpha males and tough and ballsy female heroines and GAHHH!! Meghan can write some seriously HAWT scenes. You can feel the heat from your Kindle.

Did I enjoy this book? HELL YES!
Would I recommend it even after that small bit? ABSOLUTELY!

BOOK REVIEW ― Author Anonymous by E.K. Blair

"She’s an author.

She’s a mother.
She’s a wife.
She’s a fraud.

A woman marked and bound by her own deceit, this is the astounding tale of how one choice knocked her world from its axis forcing her to battle through a year of scandal and betrayal, blurring the lines between reality and fantasy.

This is an intoxicatingly risqué stand-alone true story tangled in lust, heartbreak, and contrition."

descriptionWe can't tell our hearts what to do or how to feel. They do whatever the fuck they want-good or bad-right or wrong. They are what lead us through life.

Faith. Truth. Trust. Dark. Gritty. Blunt. Lies. Deceit. This is what makes E.K. Blair's Author Anonymous. It will push your limits until you are stretched thin and will make you extremely angry at everything happening. But might possibly be a book that is one of a kind.

I am one person, who hates cheating and steers clear of any book that features cheating as portrayed so blatantly in Author Anonymous. I didn't know what to expect when I picked this up but I sure hell didn't expect this. It explores a topic that I, for a lack of a better word, abhor, but this book is ADDICTIVE! From the very first page this book had me in its clutches and no matter how much I tried I could not pull myself away until I had finished this book.

description With each step, each breath,I'm selfishly pissing all over everything I vowed to love and cherish. I know I shouldn't be doing this, but the simple, self-gratifying reality is- I want to.

As I write this review, I'm trying my best to channel my feelings and get my thoughts straight because I still can not comprehend what I just experienced. The story line is absolutely unforgettable. Victoria, the female lead was probably one of the most unforgettable character I have read. This story is about a woman who is conscious of the self destructive path she is venturing into, is a real eye opener.

As you have already come to know, Author Anonymous is based on a true story. A story about Anonymous who has taken the face of a fictional character Victoria.

A wife.
A mother.
An author.

Victoria had the perfect life. A successful career as an author, two beautiful little girls and a husband that worshipped the ground she walked on. But one small incident, a small and insignificant choice that turned out to be life altering. And what Victoria experiences is what happens when the line between reality and fantasy collide and presents us the hard truth.

description Life is messy, and you can't compare reality to fiction because you'll always wind up disappointed.

This book is not only addictive but captivating, destructing, candid and heartbreaking. The book is not for the faint of heart. You will HATE Victoria. You will be appalled at her actions but at the same time you will, in your own way, love her and her honesty.

At times it seemed impossible and I thought I wouldn't be able to finish but the lure this book held was not something I could ignore. As for the identity of Anonymous, I'm sure I wasn't and won't be the only one who would be itching to find out who the person is. This story will gut you, it will make you question a lot of things and decisions made by Anonymous. Her story is a train wreck and through this book you get a first class seat and watch how she causes destruction and as much as I wished you could be there to steer her to the right path, I knew no matter who tried to talk to her this was something she had had to go through in order to learn a lot of things about herself.

Because after all, the heart wants what it want, right?

Before jumping into this story I would like to make you aware that this story is NOT for everyome. Not everyone will be able to cope with the topic and the actions of Victoria.

BUT!

If, just if, you are someone who would be willing to test his/her reading taste and are willing to take a chance on something completely different, something absolutely out of your comfort zone... I recommend you pick this one. Because, Author Anonymous is truly a one of a kind book that you should have the privilege of experiencing.

  Womanizer-v2-Ebook.jpg

Synopsis:

You've seen the headlines: Womanizing billionaire player! Watch out! Stay away!
We were just two strangers. Facing a forbidden attraction, a chemical connection. Neither of us expected or wanted it to amount to more. But I had never been drawn to a guy the way I was drawn to this one: my brother's best friend, and CEO of the company where I interned.
Even knowing I should stay away, I proved to be too human, after all. The chemistry was amazing. The laughs were incredible. I opened up to him in more ways than I'd opened up to anyone before. But sex was as far as I'd go. Just sex because he was too irresistible. Just sex because I wouldn't be falling for him. Just sex because I'd leave in three months, and I'd like for my brother not to kill me, and for nobody to find out he was my wicked little secret. He wasn't the One. He was just a womanizer. But for a time, he would be mine.

BOOK REVIEW ― ANTI STEPBROTHER by Tijan

"He told me to 'settle, girl.'
He asked if 'something was wrong with me?'
He said I was an ‘easy target.’
That was within minutes when I first met Caden Banks.
I labeled him an *sshole, but he was more than that. Arrogant. Smug. Alpha.

He was also to-die-for gorgeous, and my stepbrother’s fraternity brother.

Okay, yes I was a little naive, a tad bit socially awkward, and the smallest amount of stalker-ish, but if Caden Banks thought he could tell me what to do, he had another thing coming.

I came to college with daydreams about being with my stepbrother, but what if I fell for the anti-stepbrother instead?"

5 ab licking stars, 5 tattooed bad boy licking stars, and a modest 5 take home the H and keep him forever in your bed stars....

Points to be made before my review:
Squeee I got to read it before release!!!!!!
It's Tijan!
Omgoodness, Caden!

Now back to the regularly scheduled reviewing...

I am not Tijan's biggest fan- I know this because I'm Facebook friends with people who are much better Tijan Stalkers, but I have loved every story of hers I have read. She just has a way with making you fall for her characters and keeping you up all night to finish her books. ( Ask my hubby by who was grumbling at 4 AM about the light from my kindle)

* When enthused about a new Tijan book, do NOT start reading at 11:50 PM. Especially if you know better, have work the next day, or need to function for your children. The more you know...*

Where to start, oh yeah, I freaking love step brother romances. They are like crack cocaine and dark chocolate...well actually I've never gone the cocaine route but you get me right? Anyway, apparently others are tired of the genre- me, never. I suck them up on my kindle faster than I could read them. But I digress because Caden is the anti stepbrother. Yes, you heard me- not her step brother.

Caden is a hot, muscled tattooed up Greek God of perfection. He has a bit of an attitude and he also happens to be an a**hole according to Summer. If that isn't enough to set your ovaries on fire, just wait because he will. He will liquify any and all reproductive organs in your body- service message number 2.

Sadly, Summer is that girl. The one who crushes on the douche in high school because he's SO pretty. Feels like it's gonna happen especially now that they live in the same house. She daydreams and the whole shebang...Yes, THAT girl. But as we all know,  dreams do not make it reality.

Scene change, no longer running down memory lane...
Summer puts her big girl panties on and tries to get over the image of him screwing another girl against a wall- well practically. Storming into a wall of hot muscles...or as I previously mentioned, Caden.

You may not fall in a puddle at his feet at his opening line but...give him time to worm into your heart.

As I mentioned I am a fan of Tijan's work, but don't let that sway your view of my review. Anti Stepbrother has it all.

a cocky a**hole... you can guess who that is, you might be surprised
a confused young woman or two
a bit@hy skank who used to be friends
a sibling rivalry
first fights
and some seriously hot chemistry

Yeah, it's well rounded. So to those that love a fun, ovary liquifying good time. Pick up your copy today. Just know despite what, the name on the review says... Caden is mine. My name is totally Summer....once I get it legally changed...
