"An actress since she was fourteen years old, Paige Lockwood finds herself craving a little normalcy after a scandal rocks her otherwise predictable world. With everyone in her life attempting to control her, she takes matters into her own hands and leaves town without so much as a plan or a destination.

But the destination finds her as car trouble forces Paige to settle down in a small Southern town as she waits for repairs. There she meets the handsome, albeit standoffish, Tatum Montgomery, and both of their lives are forever altered as they learn that sometimes when you aren't looking for love, it finds you anyway.

But the real question is: Can you hold on to it when you're from two completely different worlds?"

My Thoughts

Breaking Stars is the second book in the Celebrity Series following the story of Paige and Tatum.

Paige Lockwood also known as America's Sweetheart has been a Holly wood Actress since she was seventeen. Despite being handed everything on a silver platter her life is not as easy or glamorous as it seems. She is controlled by her publicist and agent and she has to face the backlash after being cheated on by her Rockstar boyfriend.

To escape all the drama she leaves LA with no place in mind. A flat tire in the middle of nowhere lands her with a chance encounter with Tatum Montgomery.Tatum comes from a small town named Hanford, named after the first resident of that place in Louisiana.

Then as Jenn put it, the story was a 'cliche.' Movie star falls in love a small town boy. Add an ignorant, irritating ex-girlfriend that you just want to strangle and an over-confident, cocky ex-boyfriend AND paparazzi's and it's the perfect mix for a disaster.

Returning to her life, Paige faces a lot of backlash after her disappearance but she finally takes charge of her life and does what she wants. And well, who doesn't love a classic HEA?

Among the hurdles and mishaps, Paige grew as a person. She took hold of her and said to hell with everything.

What I liked about this story is that the movie-star, for a change is not the male. Jenn gave us the ugly side of being a star which we as 'common' people don't tend to get to know about. In that way, I found it refreshing.

This book is fast paced with enough character development in regards to the story line. If you are looking for a quick and easy read with drama in it then this book is for you.
